When the ceiling is not an option, the wall is. The Rheia™ High Sidewall Boot Assembly mounts high on a vertical wall and pushes supply air out across the living space, letting it mix on its way down instead of dumping cold air straight onto whoever is sitting below. It is the right answer for vaulted ceilings, concrete slabs above, and retrofits where running duct overhead just is not happening.

A single 3" duct connection locks in place with Rheia™ ferrules for a sealed joint with no tape and no mastic. Molded from a flame-retardant PC/ABS engineering thermoplastic rated UL94 V-0, it is UL 181C listed and UL 2043 rated for air-handling spaces, and it is 100% recyclable.
